VENUE & TRANSPORT SYMPOSIUM VENUE
GETTING TO RENNES
With two universities and many other higher education institutions, Rennes is the largest student city in Western France and a major research cluster. Its position as the capital of Brittany, as well as historical and cultural wealth, makes Rennes a leading tourist destination. Rennes has its own airport with low cost direct flights from Barcelona, Cork, Dublin and over 15 UK locations, including a recently launched flight from London Southend. Moreover, there are other cities with airports nearby (Dinard, Nantes). Travel from Paris is fast and easy by high-speed train (TGV). Another way to travel, especially from the UK, is by ferry to a marvelous port in St Malo, situated just one hour from Rennes. More information on how to travel to Rennes is available at Rennes Tourism Office.
