Looking for a post-doc: advice and CV clinic
This workshop will be run by Dr. Grégoire Michaux, a group leader at the Institute of Genetics and Development of Rennes, who has experience in running similar workshops. Dr. Grégoire Michaux will give a presentation, which will be followed by a discussion with the students. Moreover, there will be a scientific committee composed of four experienced researchers who can help and give advice on your own CV writing. If you wish, you could bring your printed CV and use this workshop as a career advice opportunity in a friendly atmosphere.
Publication and grant writing tips
This workshop will be run by Dr. Pei-Yun Jenny Wu, who did her PhD thesis in the laboratory of Dr. Fred Winston at Harvard Medical School and pursued her post-doctoral research in the Laboratory of Yeast Genetics and Cell Biology at The Rockefeller University with Dr. Paul Nurse. She then established her own group at the Institute of Genetics and Development of Rennes in 2011. Her workshop will focus on key aspects of manuscript preparation and grant applications and will include discussions with participants.
