Prof. Stephen West  is a group leader at the London Research Institute, Clare Hall Laboratories (UK). His research is directed at determining the cellular mechanisms of DNA repair and their important implications in human health, particularly cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. His many breakthrough findings have been key to the current understanding of the mechanisms behind DNA recombination.

   Marie-Dominique GALIBERT

(University of Rennes 1, France)

Prof. Marie-Dominique Galibert is a group leader at the Institute of Genetics and Development of Rennes (France). Her research is centered on the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer development with a particular interest in UV-induced skin cancers. Her laboratory has significantly advanced our knowledge of melanomas and leukaemias with the help of cutting edge high throughput functional genomics approaches.

  Timothy HUMPHREY

Dr. Timothy Humphrey is a group leader at the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology (UK). The research in his laboratory is focused on the understanding how genome stability is maintained in response to double strand breaks, and the mechanisms by which such lesions contribute to tumourigenesis. His laboratory has achieved great advances in this field using fission yeast as a model organism.
